HOT ROCKS (Chicago)

This Chicago based coverband are great and very similar to the real thing. Click photo for their website. The lead singer looks quite a bit like Mick, and has Mick's movements nicely copied. While no band is like the Stones, this one is a respectable substitute.

THE ROLLING CLONES

The Rolling Clones were formed in 1979 in Los Angeles, California, USA. The members of the band are Jimmy Lee as Mick Jagger, Jim Squire as Keith Richards, Fred Freeman as Ron Wood, Mike Warren as Bill Wyman and Charlie Pagano as Charlie Watts.

THE WILD HORSES

. The band members are Pelle (leadvocal, leadguitar), Jimmie (leadvocal, harmonica), Tommy (backing vocals), Ronny (guitar, backing vocals), Jimmy (keyboard, backing vocals), Staffan (saxophone), Morgan (drums) and Lasse (percussion). The band was formed in may 1999 to perform on an annual Rolling Stones-evening in Kristianopel in the southeastern part of Sweden. It was only meant to be a one-night-stand but it sounded so good that we decided to go on. We recorded a promotion-CD with four songs in August –99. It´s recorded live, direct to a DAT-taperecorder without any mix afterwards, at ”Gunnars Loge” where  we rehearse. Though all the guys are involved in other bands and most of them have family and a fulltime jobs, there´s not been much time to get the band on the road. So we have only played about ten times in and around our hometown, Karlskrona Sweden. But for each time we have noticed that our ”fanclub” is growing. We have now decided to play a lot more, being on this site is one way to get known. We also have plans to record a full-length CD later this year. The musical leader of The Wild Horses is the incredible guitarist and singer Pelle Andersson. He and 25 year old singer Jimmie Rudolfsson have been Stones-fans for as long as anyone of them can remember. They know almost every song, that The Stones ever recorded, by heart. On stage these two are the leading men with their musical ability and stage presents . And they love it !!!

The bands ambition is to not carbon-copy the music, we just try to justify it.

We Do That Real Good And We Guarantee Your Satisfaction !!!!!!

 MIKE HUNT BAND

The Mike Hunt Band does Stones albums in their enrirety - so far Mike Hunt Band have covered Tatoo You, Some Girls, and Sticky Fingers - and now they are up to Let It Bleed.
It started when my friend, Jill Richmond, wanted to put together a group called The Mike Hunt Band, and since she'd always wanted to be Keith Richards, and Tammy Faye wanted to be Mick Jagger, they decided to do only Rolling Stones records! It's a fun band, and they do the the albums in sequence, same arrangements, same keys, but with their own particular spin! Very raunchy - almost like "performance art" Stones!
In September there will be a possible European tour and their first album will come out. Mike Hunt Band did a big success at Wildwood Memory Motel on the Get Together meeting for Stones fans.

MIDNIGHT RAMBLERS

Midnight Ramblers is a pure Rolling Stones coverband from Stavanger, Norway. What the Stones  play the MR play (almost). Most of our gigs take place in rock'n roll  bars and pub's. But we do all kinds of concerts all over the world!!
(in fact we would like that, if some of you out there are interested.)
The band is made up of 8 people. That is of course the basic Stones set-up.
The 3 extras are organ, sax and trombone to fill up details and
make it sound bigger when we need that.
Here is part of a press review from a show they performed:
WELL, IT'S ONLY ROCK N' ROLL
                MIDNIGHT RAMBLERS
                Location: Ovenpaa
                Audience: Filled
                Concert: Kjetil Vold
Bad cover bands are about the worst thing there is. Bad
cover bands stink. Most cover bands stink. But some are
good. The Stones specialists Midnight Ramblers
definitely belong to the category "good cover bands".
And like other good cover bands - such as the Neil
Young specialists Young Neils - MR demonstrate a
profound knowledge of the subject "RS". There are two
principal reasons why MR rise above the multitude of
cover bands. 1. The band can play. Close your eyes -
just listen to the sound, the expression - and you go right
back to the Stones' heydays in the beginning of the 70's.
                2. The band knows the Stones' mythology. When they
play KR's star turn "Happy" from "EoMS", it's only
natural that guitarist TO, as a matter of course, takes
over the microphone. I.e: The band doesn't fool around,
either with what is the core of RS's musical expression,
the mixture of blues, gospel, country and rock'n roll, or
with the mythical superstructure - RS as the dark
mystery of rock. You do not fool around with Stones' fans.

PURE STONES started back 1998, and they are 6 happy rock'n'roll guys with more than 10 years of experience of performing with live-music

All in the band are great admires of Rolling Stones and that 'drive'
there are in their music, which is very suitable for good live-music.

Theor music covers more than 40 years in rock history, specially the best period of the Stones from 1968-73 with classics like Jumping Jack
Flash, Honky Tonk Women, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Brown
Sugar, Angie, and many many more...
Pure Stones play near to the original, but have slight changes here and there, to give some more up-dated versions.
