ABOUT THE BOOK: Gered Mankowitz met Brian
Jones first time in 1964, and as young photographer with his own little studio
the whole story started for Mankowitz. He followed the band
in the period of 1965-67 with these two incredible books and his finale sessions
took place in 1982. There are thousands and thousands of
photographs both in full colors and black and white, from these periods, fully
described in photographs and text, both at the concerts, recording sessions, and
private. Also in each volume there are included a poster in
each. ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER: From
1965-1967, Gered Mankowitz was on board as The Rolling Stones unofficial
official visual chronicler, accompanying Mick, Keith, Charlie, Bill and Brian
through the hysteria of their 1965 autumn US tour, providing covers for their
