A Celebration was held Saturday August 28, 1999 in
Wildwood Crest, New Jersey to honor Keith's good friend, Fred A. Sessler.
The party was held at the Memory Motel and hosted by the hotel manager,
Peter Ferriero, along with Stones People Magazine staff. It was attended
by friends, many of whom flew in from across the US or from countries
such as Germany, England, Holland to pay homage to the man
affectionately known as "Freddy". Blue Lena attended the
gathering as well to pay tribute to Mr. Sessler. The party was catered
& we were able to parttake of some lovely food & drinks.
Throughout the evening, we were entertained by a musical group from
London, as well as by Stones music & videos. Many paid tribute to
Freddy through speeches & written memories which were presented to
Freddy in book form as a keepsake.
It was a great night for all involved...it sure wasn't a lonely night at
the Memory Motel! |

From Entertainment News: Battle Of The Bands
John Lennon will go head to head with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards in
the struggle for the top spot on the British music charts when 1999
turns to 2000. An all-star line-up... including Elton John, Whitney
Houston and the Spice Girls... have recorded the Rolling Stones' hit
"It's Only Rock and Roll" to raise funds for the Children in
Need charity. It's such a sure-fire hit that London oddsmakers have
stopped taking bets on the record being number one at Christmas.
Meanwhile, on December 13th - five days after the 19th anniversary of
Lennon's death - Parlophone Records will re-release the former Beatle's
single "Imagine." The label says it's responding to public
demand for the song. The single will also include "Happy Xmas
(War Is Over)" and "Give Peace A Chance." |
