Summer 2000 is not the period with the most news. But some
few things happen. MICK JAGGER is nearly ready with his filming and a
solo CD from the Enigma will be out at the time for the film premiere.
MICK JAGGER is also using some time for his children, as well as he was
seen together with Jerry Hall at the "Graduate" London debut.
KEITH RICHARDS is on holiday - last seen on the exclusive Martha's
Wineyard. RON WOOD is now workin' on some clubmusic. And CHARLIE WATTS
are now the lucky owner of two new race-horses picked up from Poland.
Concerning tour plans there are NO news so far, a lot of different
rumours are circulating as always. Also the next CD from the band is
long awaited - but so far, also just rumours circulating.
STONES PLANET fanzine no.3 should have been out, but due to technical
problems with our American editor and her MAC machine, we are still a
delayed - hope you will wait and understand that we are very sorry about
it - but can't help it. You will of course always have 4 issues in your
membership period. |

On behalf of President Václav Havel I would like to thank
you for your e-mail message of 20 July 2000. The President is
honored that you would like him to be an honorary member of the Rolling
Stones Fan Club. He has long been a fan of the Stones, and
continues to enjoy listening to their music and visiting with the band
members when they come to Prague.
However, the President must decline your gracious offer at this time.
Nevertheless, we thank you for thinking of him and we wish you and
your club all the best.
Sincerely yours,
/s/ Pavel Fischer, Director
Political Department |

On U2's forthcomming album, "All That You Can't Leave
Behind" includes a version of the song "Stuck In A Moment You
Can't Get Out Of" that features backing vocals by Mick Jagger and
his 16-year-old daughter Elizabeth. The Jagger's involvement was said to
be casual - it came up while they were visiting the Dublin studio in
which U2 was making the album. The group eventually decided to leave
their contributions off the final version but still than the Jaggers in
the album's liner notes.
STOP PRESS: The song will only be on the mastertape, so it's not for us
fans, but a gift for the Jagger family. We regret the update that it was
on the CD as well. |

Website for Mick Jagger's
Enigma film now available.

MARATHON MUSICCo: Marathon Music, office of
Mr. Mick Jagger and part time Rolling Stones employees, would like to
lay rumors to rest that Mr. Jagger is working on a solo album now, or
will do so in the near future. Mr. Jagger has been in a studio recently
to start work on the sound track for his movie Enigma, to be released
early 2001, he will stay home till mid 2001, to care for his children.
Only taking time off to work on the movie 'The man from Elysian Fields.'
Also any stories about a coming Stones tour are only speculations, there
are no current plans in that direction. The Stones have not even
discussed a tour, or met up to do so, there is to little time now to do
such a thing. There have been talks about a tour and a studio album,
time and locations have been booked, but all has been canceled through
various reasons. Hopefully I have hereby informed you enough. Kind
regards, Kate Bonham Carter, assistant |

MICK Jagger - sex-mad grandfather and Rolling
Stones lead singer - could be heading to Sydney early in the New Year to
take part in a celebrit cricket match. According to Daily
Telegraph sports writer John Thirsk, negotiations are under way between
Jagger and former cricket international Barry Knight, who is organising
the Bear Cottage Celebrity Day at Manly Oval on January 14. Both
Jagger and Knight are members of the Lord's Taverners, a select group of
cricket enthusiasts who frequent the more exclusive areas of Lord's.
Oscar-winning composer Sir Tim Rice, now in Perth, is another Lord's
Taverner believed to be encouraging Jagger to take part in the charity
day, which hopes to raise $150,000 for the Children's Cancer
Institute. Home-grown celebrities who will assume the role of flannelled
fools for a day include INXS guitarist and Manly Cricket Club official
Tim Farriss,
Sinatra impersonator Tom Burlinson, Andrew Ettingshausen, Wayne Pearce
and The Wiggles, some of whom, we hear, are quite handy with a bat and
ball. Thanks to Jhabel for information. |
