 The Singles
One of the biggest fans in Germany is Uwe Böer. He visited Horsens on
September 3rd. where the band played their last European show.
Uwe met Michael Pedersen in Shanghai in China, while the band played there
this spring.
Uwe saw the legendary band first in Munich in 1990 and since then seen more
than 75 shows.
Growing up as a youngster in former DDR was not easy - most of the western
culture and modern music was not allowed, ao when he brought his first
single record, Far Away Eyes, it was brought from Hungary for 100 D-Mark.
Uwe is a great fan and from time to time, he is in the crew, selling
merchandise at the shows.
In his collection he has 3000 records, among them is 1600 singles.
THE SINGLES is a book Uwe Böer has just released, and describes the many
singles for the hard-core fan.
He has met the band a couple of times, and his daughter is named after Brian
Jones. She was born on his favorite Charlies birthday.
