My first night with The Rolling Stones
by Yoko Oki

My "virgin" Stone's show was at Tokyo Dome on 3/24/2005 and it was started off with "Start Me Up", and that is what I really really wanted to hear as the beginning. That song is too enough to excite me so very much. I stood up and jump around with my arms waving.

I dreamed I would like to be a part of the live Stone´s show someday for so long. Not just listening to records, but feeling the joy of being there. I did it!

Our seats was really a good ones by chance (34th Row Arena Floor/on KR's side) but actually they all still seemed too far away and small to me for I who usually see their live stage only on the DVD. However it does not matter at all.
They are there!! The real Rolling Stones are in front of me!!!

After that song there goes the parade of familiar favorite songs. I loved "Don't Stop" so much.

But I never expected to hear "Worried About You". I loved the scene that Mick started to sing the falsetto song with piano and other members join one after another, so similar the Four Flicks Documentary (Disk1) OMG!

But I think "Midnight Rambler" is THE song for live. Mick is the perfect front man. Once the song started he never cut the tie with audience. He leads us to the Stones´ Heaven. Ronnie, Keith and Charlie, Darryl are like the true artisans who build up their sounds like true craftsmans.

This night is so special to me. I feel something change in myself. Nothing in my heart or dreams now seems too late or too old to "Start Me Up" .... again.

If there are the many next chances to see them, I am sure to go to as many concerts as I can. But I know that none will ever happen the same as my first night with The Rolling Stones.

Sweet Bliss!
